I have 4 big windows, then fench doors all across the back of my house. Should?

the curtains all match? There are white wood blinds in all, except french doors. There are walls dividing the l.room, kitchen (with dining table across, in back with window) and wall seperating kitchen form den. (where french doors are) But, the walls are not fully across space, There is a 12 inch hang down and big planter sorta seperating the dining and liv.room. So, at the back where the windows are in line the space across all rooms is open. You can see all the way across when standing in the back of living room. When you are seated at sofas in liv room you can only see the windows in liv.rom. How wrong is it to hang curtains over french door casing? Live on the water and the east sun is quite bright in the summer. Don't care for little sheers on them, they obstruct the view and do not really serve a pupose. Seems a lrg. curtain would be open most of the time. Want curtains to "warm up space" I have 5 windows that keep wrapping around in the den. Have enough matching rods and curtains for den including french door. Can no longer buy rods that match for kitchen/dining window. Have matching rods for all the rest. Same color, different style. Pleas let me know what you think.
